Preview every platform. Get client sign-off.

PostDecks is a free tool for the people who run social accounts for clients. Paste a caption, drop in an image, and see exactly how the post will look on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and the rest, before it goes anywhere near a client. Then send a link they can approve, or export a PDF proof for sign-off. No dashboard for your client to log in to.

Why the same post looks different

One caption and one set of images can look completely different from platform to platform. Three things decide how it renders:

Image ratios

Instagram defaults to 3:4 portrait, Facebook and LinkedIn prefer 1.91:1 landscape, X shows 16:9, and Stories fill a full 9:16. Upload one image and every platform crops it differently.

Caption cut-offs

Every platform cuts long captions at a different point. Instagram hides everything past about 125 characters behind a more link, LinkedIn around 210, and Facebook around 477. X shows the whole post but caps a standard account at 280 characters, with more on Premium. PostDecks applies each platform's rule as you type.

Galleries

Instagram builds a swipeable carousel. Facebook and LinkedIn arrange orientation-aware collages. X uses fixed templates. The same set of images renders a different layout everywhere.

How it works

  1. 01

    Upload and compose

Drag in your images, paste the caption, and set the display name, handle, and LinkedIn headline. Every preview updates live.

  2. 02

    Review every format

Switch light and dark, change aspect ratios, and filter down to the platforms you are posting to.

  3. 03

    Export and share

Download one combined PDF proof sheet, or individual PNGs per platform, then send it for sign-off.

Your content stays private

Everything runs in your browser. When you upload an image it is processed locally and never sent to a server. No account, no upload, no storage. Close the tab and the images are gone.

That matters when you are working with unreleased campaign assets. Your client's images and copy stay on your machine through preview and export. Nothing is logged, retained, or visible to anyone but you.

Your images and captions are never uploaded, so there is nothing for anyone to track. Visit counts come from Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless. If you arrive from one of our ads we may measure that, and in the UK and EU we ask first. Full detail in the privacy policy.
